OK i DON'T AGREE with the fool that said b52's ...
They were so progressive at there height...They are even working on a new album right now. Cindy wilson And kate pearson and fred are just to artsie for some. I think the worst performers are paris hilton, just about anyone on american idol
and and the worst group would be sex pistols....but wait that's what made the sex pistols so &*#% good!

Yeah... I got to admit Paris Hilton is only doing it for the money and her voice is probably synthetically altered to sound good.
As for System of a Down... They're awesome.

Jessica Simpson is even worse than Paris Hilton in my book because she tried to be a legitimate singer but only acheived fame through her private life. Hilton seems to be a rich girl buying herself a music career, which is bad, but Lohan and Duff tried to do that as well and succeeded to varying degrees. As for band, that's a hard question, but I really do not like Nickelback and cannot understand their popularity.

I like the question, but I need to qualify it. There have been some terrible singers and bands out there. Michael Bolton, you have got to be kidding, what garbage.
However, I will pick a band that was super popular, who turned out complete trash, but were marketing gurus.
Kiss. I was in high school in the late 70's and even then I knew they sucked. One may like their garrish makeup and shows, and Gene Simmons, but when your best song is I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night, please!
