I think: a Bush in office is worth giving 2 birds.
I just read that 37 million Americans live below the US poverty level ($10K/yr !!!!?!?!??!), that 25% of American blacks live below the poverty level, and that most of them are single mothers. No, "Shut-Up-Dummy", I am not on welfare or black, but I am human and an American. It's obvious to me that what is wrong with the economy is that real Americans, like the women (who STILL can't get paid as much as their male counterparts for the same quality of work) who are raising children alone (without adequate help from communitiy and fathers to pay things like huge daycare costs), are f****ng up the numbers for The Man.

That's such garbage. Welfare is a 5 year-lifetime FEDERAL program. The clock starts ticking as soon as you receive your first benefits, be it food stamps, cash aid or both. There is NO extending it either. Once you're time's up,that's it. They have resources to help recipients find work. A single parent household has to put in 32 hours of work, community service or a combination of both. A two-parent household has to do 35 hours. Both parents can work part time, so as long as they're making the hour requirement each week. They're also allowed to combine with community service.

@Cora - has hate blinded you that lots? Bloomberg mag is wearing the comparable tips as ABC in Australia. those are no longer the Watchtower or wide awake magazines. how many docs study those magazines you have pronounced? the factor is, it is being reviewed. the clarification why the medical occupation is watching those selections is to no longer be a witness to Jehovah, yet because of the fact they are looking that blood transfusion is complicated and has too many threat factors than decision chilly surgical operation or keeping the blood. What has led to them to study the risks of blood transfusion? Jehovah's Witness reliable stance on refusing blood transfusion. we've docs that are in help and have finished study and located that it is the healthiest thank you to have surgical operation devoid of utilising blood. it is a shame which you and others will dispute this medical declare in simple terms in view which you do no longer decide for to admit that Jehovah's Witnesses have supported a bible theory that benefited them besides as others long earlier AIDS and hepatitis grew to grow to be a controversy. We did no longer take the stance because of the fact of those illnesses. it is by the fact we've self belief that Jehovah is hardship-free with of maximum suitable. His holy spirit guided us to no longer take blood for actual besides as non secular motives. It seems Jehovah grow to be precise and we stand by utilising our Governing physique's course by God's holy spirit. Jehovah's call is being vindicated even in this subject. we've been accused of murdering our kin in Jehovah's call for refusing blood. It seems that if those kin have been given a decision of chilly surgical operation, they could have been alive at present as infinite are able to attest to.

Bush dixit!!!! He is the president, I guess he should now. Specially if he is talking about all those people in New Orleans that lost everything they had two years ago, in great deal due to central government inefficiency, not to say stupidity, and two years after are still waiting for someone to help them.
Shame on you Mr. Bush!!!!! You should bite your tongue before saying things like this!!!!

Actually, for once I will agree with George Bush on this one. The tab of New Orealens fell on the government instead of the state. Welfare should be a state responsibility, not a government one.

I've heard plenty of more ridiculous, dishonest and shifty statements from another President in recent history. Remember Clinton? "It depends on what your definition of "is" is? Can't get more shifty than that.

The economy is doing poorly because the Fed keeps pushing short term interest rates higher.

Well, I guess that's what you get for listening to ABC News. Try getting your news from a source that doesn't have an agenda, namely making the Bush Administration look bad no matter what the news item. Try watching a real news organization--FOX!!
