He loves to bark up the wrong the tree. Why he does this has me stumped. He especially likes dogwood trees. Some of the things he does makes me paws and wonder what he's thinking. I would like to see him find a different hobby. It might give him a new leash on life. His current behavior has me hot under the collar.

I have cats. We would like a dog but for the moment we have the neighbours dog. Her hobbies include jumping up under my arm when I have a glass of wine and bathing me defending us all from skunks and random squirrels.
My oldest cat is simply working on her tan these days.
My middle aged cat loves books. The minute I leave one out she'll eat it. I have no idea why she does this to my books and not my husbands unless it's because she's a fan of mystery novels.
My youngest cat has the glorious hobby of defending the house from behind a window. He wants the little black cat who comes into the yard to stay the heck away. That is his obsession in life these days. He's also an avid horticulturist and helps prune back the plants.

Sorry, can I just clarify about the 'leg-humping' thing:
This is actually a form of collective public service by the canine community, which is trying to transfer our innate sense of rhythm to humans so that you, as a species, can dance better.
If you keep shaking us off, it's not going to work.
PS - I love the story of the soccer-playing black Lab (above), the dude's obviously got talent!

Mine likes to collect cats. He has a special place to put them. They are usually found up the tree in my front yard. I have a few remnants of cats past up there that refused to come down. Had to poke them with a stick.

Yes, they have an excavation project going on in the back yard. Not sure what its all about. In fact, they wanted to rent a small back hoe, but I had to draw the line somewhere.

My dog is an avid gardner. He is always digging holes in my back yard and planting his bones and chew toys.

When I had one, his biggest joy was chasing the horses, nipping them in the heels and once in awhile getting his *** kicked.
He must have loved it, cause he always went back...lol
