Psycho was very good. I never saw the other two. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is just kinda weird... but ok I guess.

Psycho, Frankenstein and Dracula are all classics. What people that like the newer and gorier movies don't understand is that true horror is in the mind. All these movies were filmed by people that understood that. Fear of the unknown, suspense. Bela Lugosi could scare just with his stare alone. As for the Rocky Horror Picture Show, It has become a cult classic. But I, for one, didn't like it.

Actually, you know that it's a matter of opinion. But, these are classics that cannot be duplicated. They still use the shower scene in Psycho for teaching film students. Hitchcock was superb. I find these all timeless and I think you should see them. They are all excellent films. As for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, it's a cult film, you'll either like it or hate it.

Psycho was incredible.... only the original, Alfred Hitchcock version though. The other 2 were good movies for their time. Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult movie. I loved it, but it is ones of those movies you either love or don't get.

In their day Frankenstein and Dracula were considered very scary and groundbreaking. Compared to today's gore-fest movies - most young people just laugh when they see them (or find them boring). Psycho is outstanding (the original version) - a masterpiece and true classic. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an entity unto itself, and should be seen by everyone :)

As far as Frankenstein and Dracula are concerned they established a genre. Boris Karloff and Bele Lugosi were genius' They may not seem as good as horror movies now but back then the horror was implied more than just the blood and guts that is prevelant today. They are classics but you have to take them from what they are not look at them the way you would movies now.

I've only seen "Psycho" out of those four you listed. In the spring I took a class on Hitchcock films, and now I'm a huge Hitchcock fan. Anyway, while Psycho wasn't my favorite, it was a very interesting and suspenseful film. Creepy, of course (I mean it deals with a psycho, hence the title) but brilliantly done.

Didn't see the other two but Psycho (1960) is still relevant and entertaining - being a young college student I am normally turned off by black and white movies but this one was good

Yes because these movies relied on story and acting to scare people, not sillay-*** special effects and gallons of blood.
RHPS is better in a theater filled with fans. If you rent it, you'll miss out on a lot.
