The difference can be summed in ebony in ivory. And the Bee Gees did disco music.

Big differences. The Jackson 5 were more of a kids kind of band. I'm not a Michael Jackson fan, but they were pretty good.
The Bee Gees were a very good band. They had many poppy/folky hits in the 60's and rebounded with disco type music in the late 70's, one of the most popular bands ever. Never cared for that stuff, but they were at their best at writing ballads.

Well lemme see. The Bee Gees were a band of white brothers and the Jackson 5 was a band of black brothers.
They sang different songs and sounded different.

WELL IF YOU LOOKED ON THE OUTSIDE THE JACKSON 5, WERE 5 BLACK GUYS, AND THE BEE GEES WERE 3 WHITE GUYS, BUT ON THE INSIDE THEY WERE ALL THE SAME.

ummmm, one group are black americans..and there is 5 of them..and then the bee gees are white australians and only 3 of them.

they are two completely different groups. I'd suggest listening to their music for a while, and you will understand.
Anyone who tells you the difference is black and white is just plain ignorant. It's obvious and I dont see why it matters. Move on, people. They also do not sound alike.
