Hiya, I'm looking to make a journal/magazine style website, publishing articles regularly (a bit like thenation.com), and instead of getting a custom-built database website designed, was thinking of using a CMS. Which system is most customisable in terms of design, is preferably open source (got little cash!), and easy to use & edit...? I'm pretty good with html and stuff and basic design. Any tips appreciated, reens

Well there is this site which can help you. It is called opensourcecms.com and is a site dedicated to demonstrating all the different types of open source CMS software on the market. You do not need to register and it is all free, you can try CMS like php-nuke, joomla, drupal etc.

That way you can play around with a bunch of different types of systems and get a feel to which one will benefit you the most. I have added the link below in the sources section for you to try it out.

I stumbled across this site and thought it was fantastic. Another great site that talks about advancements in CMS is cmswatch.com. It talks about what is going on in the industry and can give you tips on what systems work the best. Together these two sites should help you nail down what works best for your site.

Good luck with the site!

you're 5'8", meaning 5 foot and eight inches(that's what ' and " recommend). Now each foot is 12 inches long(do no longer forget that ur metallic scale is a million foot long and it additionally has 12 markings for 12 inches :)). So, 5 feet potential 5x12=60 inches. and upload those ultimate 8 inches... making u sixty 8 inches tall.... Now each inch is comparable to 2.5 cm... OR 2.fifty 4, to be suitable... so, u have 68x2.fifty 4=172.72 cm as ur top... if u pick, i'm able to deliver u a converter than can convert any instruments to each properly suited unit(potential to assert, length-length, weight-weight and so on..). basically mail me...

If you have some cash to spend then I'd suggest you use Joomla! with the "e-zine" componant. You'll love it.
