I had a look at justwondering's answer. I think there might be a wee error in the working there.

y+20=3/11(x+21)

is actually
y = 3x/11 + 3*21/11 -20
which is
y = (3/11)x -157/11
not
y = (3/11)x - 47/11

So I agree with odu83, the two lines are the same.

So either the question is a trick, or you meant to ask for a line that does NOT go through (-21,-20). If that's the case then you want to convert it to the y=mx+b form and change the value of b (to anything you like... other than 157/11).

since ur problem is in standard form do -A/B. It would be -3/-11= 3/11. The sub a point and the slope into the equation
(Y-y1)=m(X-x1) in your case it would be y- -20=3/11(X--21)
That would simplify to y+20=3/11(X+21).
You then solve by multiply bothe sides by 11(to get rid of fraction) and you get 11Y+220=3(X+21). Distribute the three and put in standard form or alope intercept form.
