Well, yes and no. It depends really on the person rather than the term. I know some tomboyish bi girls that don't mind being called butch, and I know some that do. You can't really specifywhich group likes to be called what, because everybody is different and therefore they take things differently sometimes. Like, I myself, a gay guy, have NO PROBLEM what so ever being called a fag ( I call MYSELF that a lot as you can see in my username), fairy, pansy, homo, whatever, because I think of them as just words to describe gay guys, not insults or anything. I guess it also depends on the person saying it too, and if they MEAN it in an insulting way. I hope I helped clear that up sweetie. Always and forever, loves,

It must be a regional thing, because I am from WI and I have never heard the term stud before coming to this site a few months ago. The butches I know are butches, they describe themselves and organize themselves as butches. I asked my butch friend about it, and she said that if anyone ever called her a stud, she would ask them why they want her to impregnate a female horse.

When u say stud-do u mean as in a guy or what? Anyhow,I don't really like the term "butch." I think tomboy sounds better.Actually thats usually what i am attracted to is the tomboyish chicks.I love the way they carry their selves.

I consider myself a soft butch, but if someone acknowledges that I'm gay I'm happy. Most people have no idea. Now, I would never call a gay woman a stud.,so I think it all depends on the generation, the person's sensitivity, who's doing the name calling, etc.

Does she look like a man? If she does then why would she take offense? Unless of course they were being rude...

guess it depends on how it was said and the intent of what was said. Just like queer and gay can be offensive or non offensive depending on how those words are used.

I just think that 'categorizing', name-calling and labels are so... unnecessary...
