The Bible - God - everything is in it.

2001: A Space Odyssey - Arthur C. Clarke - started my interest in science fiction.

Dune - Frank Herbert - excellent alone but viewed as melange actually being oil makes some interesting reading!

The Talisman - Stephen King and Peter Straub - a must read book for the summer.

Earth Abides - George R Stewart - possibly our near future.

I've read thousands of books but those that I've listed I've read more than once and I have gotten more out of each one with every read. I highly recommend them to anyone.

daisy fay and the mircle man - I LOVE fannie flag books and she has written so many others than "fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe." You will laugh with every book. The Redbird Xmas is a sweet tale about the town she elaborates on in other books. You read like an outsider allowed into the small town to sit down and have a nice cup of coffee with these people.

'The Pornographers' by using Akiyuki Nozoka. basically undeniable stupid. or 'What Are They coaching our toddlers?' by using Mel and Norma Gabler. undesirable good judgment from undesirable human beings. or 'Nazareth Hill' by using Ramsey Campbell. i did no longer care one bit approximately any of the characters. yet no person has heard of those books. So the worst e book i've got study that persons have certainly heard of: 'depraved' by using Gregory Maguire. a procedures too long with ineffective drivel. might have been decrease in 0.5 and nonetheless been too long.

I read a book called The Perfect Victim, about 20 years ago.
To this day, it still haunts and upsets me.

It was the true story about a girl who was kidnapped and kept in a box under a waterbed for 7 years only to be let out for rape and beatings

I have to agree with the_nut_gobbler.. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is one of the best books that i have read so far this year.

A disturbing story about friendship, dignity, pride & honesty. Sad yet raw. It brings tears to my eyes when i first read the book!!Even as i read the book, i am able to visualise the characters in the book as thou as it is happening around me. A very profound book . Go try & read it.. I ensure you that it will leave u wondering & appreciating ppl arnd u!
