It sounds like round ligament pain. These ligaments normally hold your abdominal muscles tight, and in pregnancy they stretch and pull, and this can be incredibly painful. There are also ligaments in your back that get stretched, and can cause a back ache.

You should certainly discuss this with your ob. It's never good to make assumptions based on what people online told you;.

having discomfort in the back in very common in pregnancy. You can always take Tylenol for pain but, nothing else. If you think it's more then discomfort call the doctor. All you mussels and ligaments loosen due to a hormones in pregnancy that relaxes the pelvic area that causes lower back pain.

If the lower back pain comes and goes you may want to consult your doctor to avoid this being preterm labor. You don't want to be having back labor and it be contractions you are feeling. The pain in your side could be round ligament pain...I had it up until my 5 month in...it's from your uterus stretching and it basically thins out the ligaments holding your uterus in place. To me it almost felt like I was being stabbed. At one point it had me in tears. You can always try taking Tylenol to see if it goes away if not I would definatly call your doctor or maternity ward for suggestions on it!

If you can ease the pain i was always told it was prob o.k. Try taking some Tylenol and a warm bath. The baby may be sitting on a nerve causing your side and back to hurt. If you think it is more than that call your doc.

If the pain feels like a rubber band popping you then, that is normal and its when we move to fast, slow down a little bit when you move. For the low back pain do exercises while on your hands & knees of arching your back like a cat and then going back to a normal straight back. If its easier you can also stand up straight against a wall and try to touch the arch of your back up against the wall as far as you can.

Just do whatever it takes to get comfortable. Truthfully, it only gets worse as you get further along. ALSO~ it may surprise you how much pain can be caused by gas alone. this isn't fun to hear, but a few times I thought I was going to die from pain only to find out it is totally normal and almost everyone perg. suffers from gas. Good Luck!

Stretches and moving around is about all you can do for the pain. I suffered the whole 9 months with the same problems. Their isn't a whole lot you can do. Sorry.

It is better for you to consult a doctor before you do anything or consume anything. I ever come across the agony that you have but I went for a traditional massage. But I think it is best to consult to the expert before doing anything because different people have different kind of situation.
