We are a victim of both our breeding (DNA) and our environment (learning and opportunity). Within that framework our 'destiny' can be predicted to a high degree.
We still have some choice, but usually only within the narrow range of options nature and nurture have provided.

We can change our destiny, we take the road to what we believe is best for us, and sometimes a "road block" steers us into another direction. But after the journey is over, we meet death, the only thing that is already written in stone.
