International health is the multidisciplinary body of knowledge and activities relating to the reasons that change the health of the world’s population and to the methods and techniques for providing health care to all people in the world, but in practice, International Health is the flow of advise and health technology from richer to poorer nations. It is described as the most personally challenging, intellectually engaging and potentially frustrating part of medical anthropology. It is personally challenging because it demands compassion and understanding in the midst of disease, poverty and suffering. It is intellectually engaging because it requires the integration from many spheres – biological, ecological, social and cultural, uses of variety of qualitative and quantitative methods and engages the holistic commitment of anthropology. It is potentially frustrating because of the interaction of the broader political and economic contexts and the culture of the community of international health workers often lead to perverse outcomes

We live in a garden (Earth) that we poop in. A certain amount of poop is good for a garden, but when we pile it up as we increase the world population, we injure the health of the planet. Like any disease, humans have to learn to live in symbiosis with the living Earth or we will kill it and by doing so, kill us too.
