the moon walk of Michael Jackson

abviously the astronaut did not walk like that on the moon?
so , why is it called the MOON WALK?
does MJ knew that ,
we havn't been to the moon?
or ,.....
WHY?

It's sort of a funny, slang name for it because it looks (kinda-sorta, but not REALLY) like one is walking without gravity. (It's all in the glide!)

on the Moon there is a million/sixth gravity. this is more effective than sufficient to carry you to the floor. Why on earth would you imagine you want ballast? extra to the point, are you able to locate evidence of such ballast contained in the specs for the Apollo spacesuit?

It's supposed to look like you are floating on air, as in like zero gravity like you're on the moon.
