1) subtract 5 steps for every minute.
100+ 95+90+85+80+75= 525 steps in 6 min
Continue subtracting 5 steps and adding to the 525 to get to the minutes 825 steps takes.

2) Similarly, 1000 in Jan and he spends half or $500.
In Feb he spends 1/2, or $250. Keep dividing by 2, two more times to get the answer. to A) and keep dividing by 2 until you get to $10.

3) Doesn't make sense. Fix the end, it's a repeat of question 2.

You gotta understand this stuff. I know it seems pointless now, but you gotta be able to figure this out so people can't get away with charging you too much because their math is too hard for you.

1. Well, for this one, I'll give a hint. ;) Just find a pattern, and follow the pattern while subtracting the steps taken from the steps total. That way, you'll find the answer.

2. This one is also kinda simple. Okay, for janurary, divide 1000 by 2...then divide the answer by 2...and keep doing that until all answers are done.

3. I dont understand this one. Could you type it a bit clearer? Sorry.

Hope that helps a bit.

Just break it down, step by step. Take a deep breath.

Each 1 minute, the # of steps drops by 5. So just count by numbers, decreasing in 5, until you get to the 825 top step.
