I am trying to record my voice on my sound- sound recorder under Accesories and Entertainment on my Windows toolbar but I can't seem to get the micrphone working, what can I do?

Plug it in(to the pink microphone port), make sure it is not muted in volume control, make sure it is selected in recording control(a funciton of volume control)

If everything is plugged in correctly... go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, chose the voice tab, click one of (or both) the volume buttons and make sure that the mike is selected. There is also a Test hardware button that will take you to a wizard that will help you with the mic
