I can't have kids and my b/f is still with me, he wanted kids but it's just not possible, so we are looking at adoption, there are loads of kids out there that need loving homes, so we hope that we can offer that.

If you really want kids why not adopt. There many kids in the world that need a family and if you cant afford ivf then try something else. yeah adoption is hard but if you have enough love for a child then they will know that you love them and thats all that matters.

yes you would stay with them if you love them. it must be soul destroying to know that you cant have children anyway, without your partner leaving you as well, just because of this. ivf is extremely expensive so it is understandable that there will be a couple of years of saving. it is a sure sign that your partner wants children with you if ivf has been suggested, so i'd wait for two years, save and look forward to the exciting prospect of a family.

Depends on a) how much you want kids and b) how much love is involved. A VERY personal decision, since no one else can evaluate the magnitude of a) and b) but you.
They could only tell you how THEY would chose, which may NOT be right for you...
Also, looking at some of the answers out there, in my case I would never adopt, as I would only want the natural children of the union with the one I love...

Just because you can't have biologcal kids, doesn't mean you can't have kids period. There's always adoption. There are a ton of kids out there that need parental love.
I would go for counselling to try and work through the issues, before making a decision like that.
This not something that people on Yahoo! Answers can help you with.
Only you and your partner can sort this out together.

I'm a guy, sorry, but I feel compelled to answer.
What about love? I would stay with my wife if she couldn't have kids or afford IVF or needed to wait 2 or 20 years, because I love her.
Love conquers all.

This question may be for the ladies but I will answer anyway. All I can tell you is what I did My wife had 5 misscarrages and almost died with the last one. Then adoption was not an option we had but we have been married for 32 years and still dont have any children.

Up to you, are you desperate for kids - or does this person mean more to you than future offspring? you could adopt? The decision is yours, for some people its more about kids than the partner, but poeple are people not baby making machines/producers.
Its a tough one, maybe they just dont want them and are saying 2 years as theyve no intention and hope you'll give up? Whos the most important one to you? Your partner - or your womb? If its your womb, and you dont love your partner - then its
time to move on. But if youre married, remember those vows - for better or worse............(that doesnt include abuse)

Maybe I am misunderstanding this. Where did you mention the love of one partner for the other? Isn't that the reason for getting together in the first place? If you love each other and cannot have children, then you face it together and decided together what can be done.
If having children is more important to you than staying with your partner, then it is time to move on.

Only you can answer that. There are many reasons for either choice you have to decide what you want more and why. I know that either one will at some point make you look back and second guess. That unfortunately is life. So do what feel right. You can never regret your feeling they just are, no rhyme or reason.
