I have tried to focus on my husband, spend more time together, but I can't stop thinking about this other guy, to the point its driving me mad. Is it possible this other man is really who I am suppose to be with? How do you really know? The say 70% of people who leave a spouse during an affair regret it, I don't want to be one of those people, but I don't want to lose what could be the greatest love of my live?

This other guy has asked me repeatedly to marry him. We have been friends for over two years, we did sleep together once in January but have not since, I knew it was wrong and did not want it to happen again, but we are still emotionally close and I know he would truly love me.

Stupid is as stupid does. If you got married that must have been the love of your life otherwise you would have not made that commitment. The grass is greener on the other side until the gardener stops watering the lawn. Then when you have no one there to love you and your EX has found his new love and leaves you to fend for yourself wouldn't you deserve to be sad and alone for the thing you put him through. Just allowing yourself to wonder what could be is wrong and selfish. You gave that up when you said I do. Maybe your husband should be doing what your doing and then you could see how much you have to lose.

Be careful, cuz sometimes life has a way of weighing us down. U may not love this other guy it may just be about the freedom this other guy offeres. U pay bills with ur husband, raise kids with ur husband, ect. That is a hard envoirment to love in, there isn't a lot of time for love. An affair is more exciting and can often be confused with true love.

I think you are dreaming girl. I have been there same situation. Don't leave your husband unless you are ready to live on your own. THis other guy didn't propose to you did he? now there is your answer . You can keep fantasizing about this other guy but you won't know the truth until you move out and get a divorce. Do you think this love of yours will be there waiting for you? I don't think so . But believe it or not lots of us fall for them. Are you ready to be alone for a while? then move on OK
well he did ask you to marry him. well then go for it. But you don't sound very sure about it. Maybe what you need is time apart from both of them. Go visit some relatives or go on a trip on your own away from those guys and you'll know what is it that you want. Try it I am sur e it will help a lot.

You are on VERY thin ice!
This happened to my first ex. I was devastated, but he was the ONE (she thought - (big dick)).
We split and I went to California (unable to stick around where I had all these memories). 6 weeks later, got a letter from her, once I was gone, any time she was with him, all she could think about was me.
This, only time in my life, I gave a second chance. Thought she would make it up to me. Actually she just stood back and waited for me to heal myself, - no help from her!
After 4 months of that, I told her, that was it. I felt she really didn't care for me, based on how she went about that. And no matter how much I love, when I feel no reciprocation, that's it. I still loved her madly, but I felt there was nothing there for me. And one sided love is torture. I am NOT a masochist.
It just taught her enough, that the next time she got married again, she stuck with that idiot (got that on good authority) now for 38 years.
Oh well.

Are you already having an affair with this man? If not, perhaps you see something in him that you want from your husband. There must be something missing in your marriage for you to seek someone else.
If you're already sleeping with him, then you've got bigger problems.
You need to sit down and think about your marriage and if it's worth holding on to. If it is, let this other guy go, and focus on what you can do to improve your relationship with your husband.
Good luck!

There's no two ways about it your a bad spouse. If you dump your spouse for someone else do you think they'll take you seriously? They'll think, no they'll know your a two bit tramp.
Stick with your spouse, show some dignity! Whats wrong with you? Menopause?

You cannot eat your cake and have it looking at. I hope if you should ever leave your husband, you will regret so much that you cry six days out of each week.
