Most routers should allow you to disable wireless. Check your documentation for details how, as all are different. If you don't know where it is, you should be able to find it on the manufacturer's website.
For those routers that do not disable wireless, you should be able to set an explicit list of MAC IDs (unique identifier for each wifi card - no 2 are alike - it usually can be an empty list) and/or create a WPA code/password.

Yes, although some call it turning the radio off or disabling the wireless lan. Just do not turn off the dhcp server by mistake as your network will slowly cese to function if you do.
