i dont care for the new stuff!! the old rap back in the day had a positive message. it expressed the frustration of inner city people trying to make a living and a future for their children. it was about civil protest. now the new rap music promotes drug use, cop killing, gang violence,and babies having babies and young men treating women like ****!! call it whatever you will, but rap today does more to promote negative stereotypes than it does to help a culture improve its image and the lifes of its people. ask yourselve this?? how much of that money that rap artists make gets invested back into the communities that listen to it??? very little. any educated person regardless of color would not allow their children to buy these albums. bill cosby is right on target and until the majority of the black and hispanic communty realize that then your people will continue to put chains on yourself and your children. i like jazz!!!!!! and old motown!!

Poets, Rappers, some Punk Rockers, alot of Black people, a couple of Bikers, on Chopers a few School Teachers and deffinitly Hip Hoppers. Freestylers, Customizers a few Deep Sea Divers, Bus Drivers in the city. Some Chineese, Japanese, A couple of Koreans and Sieamese. Just a few Sailors on the Sea, the Mairine Corps and Army from shore to shore.
Man A whole bunch of people that are just plain HARD CORE!

I used to be a true head back in my day,late 80's to mid 90's, until Puffy came and bought rap's soul for a song (no pun intended).
Since then most rap is trash. Bear in mind that there are still quality rappers out there, but you have to dig and search for them because they get buried beneath those crappy MTV mainstream rappers, rappers who aren't even fit to polish the mkes of the likes of the legends (I'll spare you a list. You should know who they are).

I agree with Kayla. I can't stand rap music today, it used to be used as a positive influence, now it's just the same beat playing over and over and some guy rhyming about sex and drugs and crime.

i pretty much dont like it. I enjoy all music except for rap actually. I cant stand it. I wanna puch the radio D.J's everythime it comes on.
