Borders, by Thomas King
The Cask of Amontillado, by Edgar Allan Poe

I could continue listing forever, I am a big fan of short stories. I suggest you just pick up an anthology of short stories. I have one titled "The Art of Short Fiction", edited by Gary Geddes. I also read many short stories from a school textbook published by Longman titled "An Introduction to Literature".

Try "The Interlopers" by Saki, and "The Sphinx" by Edgar Allen Poe. Both very short but well written.
Have fun!

I personally think O.Henry was the master of short stories in the English language, and any of his tales should entertain & enlighten you if you have not already read them.
