objects to the funeral home (what to bring), and a planned program. Do you have any ideas or know any books or websites about this.

My mom is currently dying and I want her to have a good funeral.

the reason I am asking is I am thinking of gathering items to represent different events in her life and need time to gaqther them as I won't have time when she dies and will be to upset. Should I tell her I am doing this..I am trying to find ways to be loving as we don't have a very good relationship. I want to do something out of love in addition to trying to reconsile with her and seek reconsiliation.

You should ask her if she wanted anything special, like certain music.

My mother was dying and she wanted certain music.

I taped pictures of my mother on a card table and a bulletin board more for myself and family and friends. They asked me how I got so many pictures of my mother since she hated her picture taken over the years. They appreciated them and it gave us good things to talk about.

I am sorry that you have to go through this hard time. I will be praying for you and your family.

You know, your Mom - once gone - wont know what kind of funeral you are having for her and I think you are more worried about this than seeing her through her last days. Worry about the funeral when she is gone.

flowers, pictures, old toys that she had given you that used to be hers......really anything that means anything to you probably means somewhat her......as long as you try it'll mean a lot.
