acids come in different degrees of causticness. an acid with a pH of 1 would be extremely caustic while one with a pH of 6, would be much less irritating.
although folic acid has the word "acid" in it's name, we don't tend to think of it in the traditional sense of being an acid. it's termed an acid because of it's chemical structure, and it's ability to donate protons in solution. folic acid is present in grains and other fortified foods. i'm sure if you threw a piece of whole wheat bread on your face, it's not gonna burn. still LMAO!!

not really. its a carboxylic acid, and weaker than acetic. People eat it for craps sake. I think it is Vitamin B, or closely related.

it might cause some irritation but not burn like sulfuric acid would.
