On the BBC weather map why can the UK be coloured green with dark green cloudy areas?

Exactly, the country would look green from there, not some dodgy brown colour.

Can't help you on that one but it would be nice to see some colour in the map of the whole of the UK

2000 years ago it might have been g. and p. Man has since made sure it is no longer green and pleasant. More like grey, unpleasant, concrete- and tarmac- filled. Don't diss the weather map.
