First of all your foundation is the most key piece of make up that you apply. Over the years I have found that liquid foundation followed by a loose powder is the best answer. For an inexpensive choice I would try Cover Girl's Continuous Wear foundation followed by their loose powder.
If you have a little more money to spend I highly recommend Mary Kay creme to powder. I have oily skin and I can go to work and come home and my make up looks as good as when I put it on.
As eye shadow I found that if you have a great base almost anything will look good. From Wet and Wild to Mary Kay, the key is buy a set of good brushes.
Hope this helps!

Get translucent powder it helps. Bring it everywhere you go so anytime you need it you can put it on.... Also you may need a better foundation I just tried L'Oreal True Match and it works good and last long try that and it's not that much money..

Close your eyes and spray a very light amount of hairspray over your face let it dry, it does leave a sticky residue and will keep your makeup on, except the lipstick you may have to reapply lipstick unless you purchase a long lasting lip color.

You need to "set" your makeup....after applying, hold your face over a bowl of hot water, and then let it just dry on its own. You can run hot water in the sink if you want to. Its the steam that sets it. It will last a bunch longer.

One word: Primer.
Makeup artists use this on celebrities to make their makeup last longer. Smashbox makes an awesome one, but you can use any brand.

if you have p.e., go in a stall and do your make up!! if not, wear a long lasting make up or take some powder to school in one of those little travel brushes and put some on in a bathroom and it looks a lot better than nothing. you could also take some bronzer if you have a powder kind!!
