She had to get a cortizone shot in her shoulder cause something was wrong with one of her tendons and the morning after she had pain in her neck and could hardly move. Im really worried about her, could the damage be permanent?

It is possible the doctor has hit a tendon. It will be important to assure the problem is well documented, in the event legal action is needed.

No, but I had 9 Novocaine shots to the mouth in one sitting so I could get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. THAT hurt like a mother-pucker. Shots to the roof of the mouth are NOT cool. And then the Novocaine wore off by the time the dentist got to the last tooth, so I could feel them slice the skin, and start cracking open the bone that the tooth was impacted under. I think if I had the choice to re-live that day or get a shot to the knee, I'd take the Cortizone shot.

No but you shouldn 't get more than three cortizone shots in one year. If is normal for it to hurt for a while because they are shooting you right in the nerve. I have had them in m back and yes they are very painful but don't worry it is not permanent.

Why dont you have your friend call her Dr. and ask him, he should be able to tell her; or get a second opinion.
