If they each of them decided to mow half of the lawn it would be 11 hours, but I'm not sure if that's what the question is looking for.

Chance mows at L/8 per hour while Bryce mows at L/14 per hour. N(L/8+L/14)=L or n/8+n/14=1 or 7n/56 + 4n/56 = 1

11n=56 n=11/56 or slightly more than 5 hours

12.57 hours???

It's kind of hard to answer if you haven't given dimensions, or if they are taking a break. I was just guessing.
