My history teacher said that we could not use a certain encyclopedia b/c it was for elementary kids. I can't remember which one he said, and he isn't really the type of teacher you can just ask again. Is it Britannica? or what? Do you know of any really good encyclopedias?

First of all, don't let teachers intimidate you. They work for you and your parents pay their salary. They are there for you to ask questions even if it is about something they have already explained.
It's his JOB!

Encyclopedia Brittannica has been around for a very long time. It's first claim to fame was that is was for serious students and there was no "children's" edition. There is now though. You just need to make sure you are using a version that is acceptable to him. Brittannica is sure to be in your schools library, ask your librarians, I'll bet they know what he'll accept.
