I was 15 weeks along and aborted last Saturday. He is my best friend, but not my boyfriend. I didnt want any issues, and I couldnt see myself having his child. I think I did him a favor by not making it an issue. Was I wrong?

Don't let these people try and make you feel guilty or wrong for making any decision you have already made. It is already done and in the past, there is nothing that can be done.
In the same vein, I think that regardless of what you could have, would have, or should have done, you shouldn't dwell on it anymore. Telling him now would certainly be useless and just cause problems.
I congratulate you on having the strength to follow through with a decision you made, but also hope that you have learned about the consequences sex can have.
I would just not worry about it anymore. Everything that can be done is done. There is nothing more to gain from this situation and telling him can not possibly do any good.

I am not a woman, but it appears to me that you decided that you did not want this child. Regardless of the guy position, you decided that you did not want the child and have an abortion.
You said that you could not see yourself having his child, so telling him before you the abortion would have accomplished what? You would have got to see if he was at a stage in his life where he desired children...
Regardless of the benefit to him not having this kid, you are going to have to live with this decision for the rest of your life.

Dependant upon what kind of man he is and how deep his feelings for you are you may or may not have done him a disservice. If he didnt care that much about you then he wouldnt give a crap about a baby but if he cared a great deal it could devestate him.
I'm sorry you had to go through that scary process, I hope you had a friend present for support.

Wow, this is a tough one. I guess the real question is, how much of a best friend is he and how much do you value his friendship. I think relationships of any kind need to be based on trust and honesty. Either way, the deed is done. But if it were me, I would tell him and expect the worst - you probably should have told him sooner.

unfortunatly it is too late so it does not matter what you should have done. In the future if you dont want the consequence dont do it in the 1st place. Now instead an innocent baby paid the price instead of your "best friend" having to face the facts.

Its going to bother you forever now. You should have told him before you did anything about it. If hes your best friend you should be able to talk to him. Hope it all works out for you.

The true question is, are you okay with it? Do you think you made the wrong choice? This isn't our lives---it is yours and you should be able to know, avoid, or make your own mistakes.

i would tell him and the sooner the better because if there's even a small chance that he could find out from somebody else, it would be much much much better to hear it from you first...but i hope you do whatever is best for you

yes you should have told him, no matter what he was a part of that child, that child may be well on it's way to being alive if you had.
