I wasnt taught how to apply eyeliner and i cant figure it out.Can someone please help me?

Get a good thin pencil to start with. A thick one or a liquid is very easy to mess up or go too thick and/or heavy with.
Tilt your head back or if you can, close the one eye. I find tiliting is easier to get a better look at what I am doing. Start on the outer corner of the top lash line and draw in towards your eye. Stop about you pinkie finger's width away from your nose. Blend/Smudge in with a Q-tip if you don't have a eyeliner sponge. It looks less harsh than a full line drawn all the way in. Fix any messes with a Q-tip as soon as you can. The faster you get to them, the easier it is to clean them. Roll the cotton on the mistake, don't rub it back and forth or you can irritate the skin giving you a red mark there. I'd leave the bottom lashes alone for now until you get the hang of application. A heavy or dark line under your eye can make them appear smaller.
Eyeshadow and/or mascara shold be applied after eyeliner.
For the first few times, try resting your elbows on a hard flat surface to help keep your hands steady. You can also try holding the outer corner with your other hand than you are applying the liner with. Gently tug at the corner pulling outward, it pulls the eyelid and lashes tight and straight so you have a better chance of fewer mistakes. I wouldn't reccomend doing this longer than you have to. Stretching the skin too much can lead to early bags and wrinkles. But the first couple times won't hurt anything.
Practice is the only real way to get used to doing somthing new, so don't stress over a few mistakes. Even professionals make them now and then.
