From what I saw on "Myth Busters", the more constant and the faster the rhythm, the better plant growth you can expect. The experiment was growing beans, but they fouled up the set up because the automatic water system didn't work. So when they compared the groups of beans, the ones that had death metal playing were better than the rest. The control was not sound stimulus, and the others were a recording of a soothing voice giving moral support, the other was someone screaming and putting down the beans, and one with classical music playing.

Ya, the old "Limbo" song! I believe, the limbo was originally done with a bamboo stick and it will scare the plant into thinking, this is where I could end up if I don't look good.
