Believe it if you dare but "sussed" derives from suspicious. If you think something is a little bit suspect or suspicious you say "it is a lttle bit suss". Following on from this when you investigate your intuition to confirm your suspicion you "suss it out". When you have have finished investigating this you have "sussed" it.

As a verb, to suss means to understand.
As an adjective, if we describe someone as "sussed", we mean that they aren't easily fooled.

It means a cross between 'understood' and 'sorted out'. If you've got something sussed, it's under control

To 'suss' something out means to work it out.
If you are 'sussed' then you have been found out.
Sussed can also mean solved, as in 'I have sussed it out'

To infer or discover; figure out: “I think I'm good at sussing out what's going on” (Ry Cooder).
To size up; study: “Suss out the designers in whom you are interested” (Lucia van der Post).
