I would think either the quad cities or des moines or ames would have some districs or hang outs for gays and lesbians. Not all of Iowa is a bunch of homophobic farmers ya know :) I have relatives in Mason City and even up there people seem accepting.

I live in Iowa and I have several lesbian friends. There are gay districts in the Quad Cities, as well as Iowa City.
