why cant asian people drive well?

Go to anywhere in Asia and you will see why. Holy hell, driving around in Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei, or any of those places will result in some mysterious dark stains appearing in very inappropriate places on your pants.

"Asians can't drive well" is an inaccurate statement. Whoever posted this question, probably has never been to any Asian country. I bet that most Americans will not be able to drive in the middle of Bangkok, Manila or any other Asian city traffic. You seldom see car accidents or many dented vehicles there. It appears that everybody knows what they are doing. Thus, most probably, Asian drivers there would probably also say, Americans can't drive well. In short....don't be ignorant, be educated on what's going on outside your world.

There is no Truth to your statement, none what so ever. I will try to explain it in this way: That kind of bull that you are spouting is just that bull. You have to remember that Americans are a very racist group of people. and that saying goes back to pre- world war 2. when racist American were saying that the Japanese could not fly planes or drive cars and many more thing. Well I have been both to Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand, Korea and a few other Asian countries. I assure that that they can drive and fly, and handle very complicated machinery. And if you want to hear how stupid Americans racism can be. In WW-II they said that the Japaneses could not fly planes, because Japanese males were carried on their mother's back, I wonder how many Americans pilots That they shot down still believe that crap. Now if you ask me who are the worst drivers in the world I would say the french lol. I am just sorry to say that racism in America is still as strong as it ever has been................. And I as a confused American, will always ask why when the history of the world say that it is wrong.................

What do you mean by driving well? In terms of skill, safety, abiding laws, consideration of other drivers, hitting the apex in an S-curve, what? I'm Asian and I drive perfectly "well" for whatever driving purpose needed. If I need to drive fast to get somehwere quickly, no prob. If I need to drive safely because of inclement weather, sure I drive well. What are you trying to get at? Dude, you're an idget!

I am an Asian male and have been driving for 18 years with no accident. I would say that females seem to be involved in more accidents than males, but we pay higher premiums!

If it was always true, it would be because in Asia, there is less of a need to drive cars, as towns are either too low-tech, or people can just walk, bike or take public transportation. The sarcastic other answer I can give you is eye size.

You know, I've been wanting to post the same question...but the fact of the matter is, it's true! It's mostly the middle-aged Asians who can't drive well though, not the younger one's. I think it's hard for them to see...you know it's like they drive solely using their lateral vision.
