I will be learning how to play the drums and I'm wondering what skills I will learn. :)

Staying on, or off, the beat. That's always important.
Also knowing what rhythms you have to play, like quarter notes, sixteenth notes, and all that.
Timing is the key to great success. If you're not on time, you could throw everybody off.
Hand and eye coordination is important as well.

Music is a coordinated effect of the senses...

Hand-eye-coordination while reading or thinking about the music. Music also teases the brain to think in the present and the next moment and the next few moments.

From head to toe, the entire human body is in sync and coordinates with the music and sounds.

Without music in our lives, we would be inanimate objects.
