Southeast Alaska typically receives the most rainfall, while warmer sunny weather is typical of interior Alaska summers.
When packing for Alaska travel your best bet is to dress in layers regardless of which regions you plan to visit. Weather changes quickly in Alaska so be prepared. Alaska is also very causal. Bring along jeans, slacks, sweaters, sweatshirts, t-shirts (short and long sleeve), a rain jacket and comfortable walking shoes.

Fishing rod! They've got HUGE salmon up there that pack a good fight. And they taste great.
That, or a camera. Beautiful scenery.
Oh yeah.....LOTS of mosquito repellent and garlic tablets. You'll learn why quick.
