Why is it that popular people think they are better that other people?

All my life the "preps" have made fun of me and I want to know something what makes them better than me?

what ****** me off is that no matter how many ***** I kick they still keep coming, what are preps trying to make my life miserable?

Sweetie, it doesn't matter WHAT they think. YOU are YOU and be proud of it! In the end, does it matter? Nope. You are made of substance; a person with emotions, different interests, and individual likes and dislikes. What's important to "preps" are money, celebrity life, and people-bashing. They've probaby never really experienced a hardship in their life. Give them time. We're all human.

Because these popular people have a very low self esteem. That is the only reason why they think they are better then anybody else and put down other people.

They are not better then you. No matter what they say. They just have a much, much lower self esteem and don't know how to get along with people and so that is why they make fun of people.

Well the preps are usualy the popular ones in schools or even in life is because they can afford their prepy clothing and other things that a lot of other people can't afford. This makes them more confident so it's easier for them to make friends and associate with others.

In my opinion, people that make fun of other people do so to make themselves feel important. These are people that at home do not get enough attention, or have so many insecurities, that they purposely direct the negative attention to you hoping that their own issues won't be discovered.
I have learned in the last couple of weeks that their power lies within me. I can only feel less if I allow myself to feel this way. Take control of your authority and know that all the powers lie within you. If they are picking at you it is obvious that there is something special about you and inside they really wish they had what you have. Next time instead of allowing them to make you feel bad turn it around and thank them for adding to your fabulousity.

It all depends on you and where YOU put yourself in the food chain.

Do you SEE yourself on top of the heap, or do you keep looking up? NO REASON whatsoever for you to make yourself any less than anyone else - everybody is equal, no matter their schooling, their worth in their wallets, their backgrounds - all horsesh..t. If you're a decent human being, trying to become a better human being on a daily basis, have some good values & ground rules to live by .... you're on equal footing. Now, remove that heap!

because we are. the problem with people like you is that you hate "popular" people for being something you want to be and dont have a clue on how to be that person. "preps" make fun of you because you are just sitting there..complaining and not doing anything about it. People that make fun of others know that they themselves are defective in one way or another. They only have power if you give it to them. When they get out into the real world, people will see them for what they are and they will either have to grow up and act like a decent human being or they fall on their face. That's why the people who teased me all through highschool are serving me food and cleaning up my dirty dishes and pumping my gas.

wait until they get into the real world and watch how far they DO NOT go.

They're not better than you. Just because they're popular doesn't make them any better.
Popular people tend to get more attention than people who are not so popular, so they misused that attention (Like making fun of people).
But remember you have one thing that they don't have. You have real people around you who likes you for being yourself. I can't say the same thing for popular people.

We're in a lot of trouble when we do not judge ourselves, secure in the findings, then give any importance to someone elses' probable erroneous judgement. Pride. A deadly trap.
