Thats what my sister did, she's an RN in the San Diego area. You won't neccessarily find an easy way to get into any type of nursing school for higher level nursing in a night class, but you could certainly find night classes to become a LVN.

Sadly, after watching my wife struggle with nursing school, YEARS ago, I don't think it is a practical plan. It was very difficult for her to balance just her family obligations with school. It was hard for her academically, emotionally, and just scheduling wise. There is even MORE stuff to learn now.

Then too, many schools require that you work in hopitals during the day (for free) for practical experience.

If you can figure out a way to do it with loans and grants and scholarships, it'll be MUCH easier on you.
