how bad is birth control for your health?

As the statistics show, the risks associated to pregnancy, labor and delivery greatly surpass the risks linked to the use of any method of birth control; this includes oral contraception, intrauterine devices [IUD's] and abortion before the 18th week of gestation. In other words, it's safer to use birth control than to give birth.

It depends totally on what form of birth control, also bare in mind that some birth control options aren't just about the risks but also side effects that many doctors are either ignorant of or not willing to communicate with patients. It is amazing how many doctors, even OB/GYN's are ignorant of all the risks, side-effects and issues involved with different birth control options.

You'd have to be more specific on what form of birth control you are asking about, as we could be here all day going through just the better known risks and issues of all the different birth control options.
