Sam Houston was always constipated. But he had a bowel movement just before the battle of San Jacinto, Apr 21, 1836. When he was plugged up like that, it hurt so much that he groaned so loud he would stampede the horses. The plan was to sneak up on Santa Anna in the middle of the night, surround him and attack at dawn. If he hadn't eaten those Jalapeno Peppers and crapped his brains out before the battle. Santa Anna would have woke up and heard him coming. The Texans were victorious that fateful morning. Texas became the 48th state. The rest is history.
