i know that google is opening up a hugeplace somewhere in michigan and its supposed to create alot of jobs...the detroit paper is called the detroit free press see if they have a website and u can click on a job bank....also a good way is to pick a company or store like wal mart or something and go to their webiste and it usually will list where they have openings or u can p ut in the state and search...good luck :)

a very good option is to work from home on your computer - write articles, sell on eBay, make a website, take surveys...nd make money on ur own!
or just join some local restaurant or pizza joint or do stuff like cleaning, gardening, babysitting and so on! Such opportunities abound in local classifieds and billboards, just check around :)
