In the old days a black person that acted white would have either been comical or threatening to whites. Once I went to a Karate tournament and a black couple was raising a white child. He talked like he was black too. I was not impressed at all. Imagine how much trouble he had gotten into with most blacks who thought he was mocking them. It does seem natural to pick up habits and language to feel accepted. Eddie Murphy does this for comedy.

no, i dont think thers such thing as "acting black". Everyone acts in different ways, but you dont HAVE to be black in order to talk, walk ,ect, in any specific type of way.

it is simply people who demonstrate actions that typically are only seen in certain cultures... this is predominately an american issure... and with the freedom in our country .. african americans have definately made a very unique and valuable mark on humanity by establisihing themselves in many areas of the world and maintain for the most part a collective pride in their culture as far as membership and race.... remember african americans are very young in their freedoms in this country .... it is only a matter of time the strength and resilency of the culture will gaining ground in other areans than the stereotypical music and sports...
