how do you get a dealer's license?

go to your local DMV and ask the question, they should have the forms to fill out. If you are doing this just to go to an auction, your wasting your time. You need insurance and a place to do business (car lot) out of. When I was a dealer (car) 15 yrs ago the insurance was 2500 per yr and a lot was anywhere from 1000 on up

I'm assuming to get a car dealer's license, you would have to get hired by a car dealership.

Usually you call the police dept in the place where you want to be licensed and they will tell you all you need to know.

You go down to a dealer, they offer the class you pay your fee and thats that...its pretty easy

Depends where you live. In Ontario you have to go through O.M.V.I.C. Sounds like you want to go to the auctions, am I right?
