im looking for an umbrella that completely covers your head, not hovers about your head, i saw one today, but dont know where to get it, it was very unusual to see this umbrella, compared to the standard classic umbrellas of yesterday, if you know of this, please let me know where i can get it, thanks!

you are all spot on, it is a dome umbrella, i've never seen nor heard of this before today.

What you want is a "dome" umbrella. You can get them various places but here are some online sites that offer pictures of them:

I think what you mean are the 70's style dome umbrellas which are usually clear.
After months of trying to find 1 I got 1 from a local market for about £5

I have Never owed an umbrella in my life! What is wrong with you, a bit of rain will not harm you, there is nothing more wonderful than rain pouring down your face. Get out there, forget the umbrella, let the rain come down and feel the stress ooze away from you

Most probably the umbrella you saw was the one that's like a hat.... no handle but you can wear it on your head like a hat. If that the one that you saw, well it's made in the Philippines.

that's either made in philippines or made in china.
but i dont kno who are the local distributors of that umbrella in your country.
