well get a grip! Good God who has been feeding you with silly information! My Father served the Navy for 23years and I will be damned if anyone spoke ill of the Navy.
They are the protectors of the Sea, keep away Pirates ( oh yes they are still out there ), help Coast Guard in keeping off bad elements off the sea. And if you have read enough history You would know for Sure the History of Pearl Harbor or The battle of Okinawa or The battle of Iwo Jima or the Battle of Midway or the current Iraq War and what was the naval contribution to these battles! So please refrain from talking bad about another wing of the defense services that help protect the country you live in! Ever heard of SEALS and the Marine Core if you have not please read up on them!
If you had to work even 24 hours the way they do I think you would start respecting them for serving their country so gladly! Janitor uniforms indeed!

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about.
The navy does a lot more than you think.
Yes, they have to "swab the decks". Guess what? The army, marines, and air force have to keep their quarters clean too. They don't have a weekly maid come in and do it for them.
Where do you think the Seals get their recruits? The navy and their branch called the MARINES! Yes, the marines are part of the Department of the Navy.
Janitor uniforms? They wear blue jeans and blue chambray shirts. It's called comfortable clothing on the salt water. Ever been to the beach in polyester? It's seriously scratchy and hot. Their summer uniforms are shorts and short sleeves. I've seen men on the streets in the same stuff.
They are trained to use guns, they have some of the top pilots in the world, they have a special forces unit that trains harder than any of the others, they offer sea support in battles, they have the carriers for planes to launch off of, they have the ships for sea battles with other countries, and overall they do a load of stuff.
Try getting your information straight before you mouth off about something.

My husband is in the Navy and he works his *** off !!! You have probably not worked as hard as he does one day of your life. They mostly do where dark blue pants and a light blue shirt. How is that a janitor outfit ? You have no clue what you are saying so shut up .

Actually, there are a lot of sailors in Iraq right now, wearing camouflauge uniforms, by the way, and serving with the Marines. They're called corpsmen, dear. They're the ones who give the medical care to everyone over there. Get your facts straight.

i don't know why you are back talking the navy, but they do DO ****!!
coming out the navy, it is a job, and pays more than any civilian gets. how about making $9.00 to $14.00 an hour right out of high school. i don't see it happening.
either you are a navy brat, or you were in the navy and you hate it, but then you must be loosing some marbles.

Being in the Army I must say this one of the most disrespectful and stupid questions..The Navy is part of the Military who defends your waterways? and protect your shores?? you really need to take time to educate yourself. I can't imagine that this is the only matter you are ignorant on..Just the one you chose to publicly bring to our attention. Also I'd like to know what you to do serve and protect your country in any capacity.

Navy is not a fake military.. Navy protect our waters while miliary protects land.. two different things..
