There is no limit to how many people CAN get sick in a year. The amount of people that DO get sick in a year varies. I don't think there is any statistical data for how many people get sick a ear in every way, but there is data for indicidual types of illnesses, for example how many people get cancer in a year, or the flu. Approximately 6 billion (that would be the human population of the Earth). I'm not being silly, it is conceivable that we could all get sick at once.
