When a woman is at a very low weight, her cognitive functioning becomes impaired. Further, many of the things that caused the eating disorder in the first place (trauma, disfunctional family, etc.) may be triggered and the individual may pull away. Isolating from friends and family can occur, generally because the individual is depressed and/or struggling with anxiety in addition to the eating disorder. The individual most likely also struggles with low self-esteem, and may not feel she deserves the love and attention of her boyfriend/husband.

Unless the woman suddenly developed anorexia while in the relationship, it is likely that she was anorexic before meeting the husband/boyfriend so there wouldn't likely be a trigger to suddenly fall out of love.

If the anorexia developed while with the husband/boyfriend, then it is such a disease that all of her focus/energy will be battling with this issue and less time and energy will be spent on her husband/boyfriend - that could be the culprit here..

People with eating disorders usually feel that they are undeserving of anyones love. They don't love themselves and so they don't believe anyone else could. They are usually more isolated and are more focused on themselves and food than a relationship

They are typically more focused on themselves and not intrested in others. Anorexia results from feeling of not having control over their life.
