ESPN has a Bullpen of talent, and this is the group they go with for MNF? MNF is Sacred and this crew, ESPECIALLY Joe Theismann, is a discrace to all who have been in the booth.

Why not Steven Smith, Boomer, Stewart Scot , Nick Patrick? Any of these guys. I guess ratings aren't important anymore.

I have never been thrilled with Joe Theisman, I thought his insight has never been on point and his voice irritate me. As a former QB, I expect him to give me some kind of knowledge in what is happening in the game. I make the same observations that he make and I never stepped foot on a football field!

There is not one person in that crew who has an announcer's voice (either one of great character or one that disappear inside of the game). The play by play is terrible and it seems like more time is spent focusing on superficial stuff than talking about the game in front of them!

The only person doing a semi-decent job is Tony, being a report he be calling out Theisman. I so love it last night:

Theisman "in order to be a successful college QB turn NFL receiver you need to be short and quick"
Tony "....What about that boy from Arkansas he is tall and quick"
Theisman .... ummmm "I was talking about as a Returner"

Theisman is terrible. Every time he does commentary for a game, it basically becomes a love-fest for everyone on the field over 30 years old (especially Drew Bledsoe and that Packers quarterback who should've retired two years ago). Plus, he tries to shoot down everything Tony says, as if he's bitter about Tony replacing his old chums from Sunday Night Football. It's really embarassing.

those 3 are the worst, very painful to take heed to. between their a number of love fests of QB's and the thoroughly pointless customer spots (Vince Vaughn, truly?) it sucks. i myself dion't understand what grew to become into incorrect with the Sunday night group from final 12 months, a minimum of that they had chemistry and mentioned some correct stuff each sometimes. And at the same time as we are at it do they actually need 2 sideline journalists? EFF Michele Tafoya! she appears like a muppet with insomnia!

They SUCK! I especially don't like Theismann.

For the record though I love NFL countdown every Sunday morning. I think it's the best pre-game show.

I HATE THOSE ANNOUNCERS ALREADY.,...they talked about Carson Palmers knee for like 2 hours before they shut up about it...we only need to hear about it once to get it....damn that was so annoying. I think a Mime and Hellen Keller could do a better job....
