Do you monitor what your kids watch on TV? If your a child, Does YOUR parents have any rules about what you watch?

I don't even own a TV.

My parents never really had any rules about what I could or couldn't watch, but I'm coming to notice that anything I watched that was risque as I was growing up went TOTALLY over my head, now that I'm re-watching things I watched when I was little and going, "wow, I had no idea they said suchandsuch!" Kind of like those lines in Disney movies that are meant for the parents to have a chuckle but the kids don't really get it... know what I mean? :)

I absolutely monitor what my kids watch...they are 9, 5, and 4. I am really lucky b/c they really are not that interested in watching tv.

My kids are monitored
they just got cable back after 2 years of not having it
They are not allowed to watch MTV or other shows that are degrating to society on a whole
Got the v chip mommy controls the programs now!!!

yes, we monitor the tv. lots of cartoons today are even too much for us to take. they do not watch the news, or any tv after 8 pm. we allow movies of our choosing before bed.

Of course I monitor what they watch. We have parental lock out too.

My son is 15 now so I let him watch pretty much whatever he wants...but just in the past couple of years did I let him watch movies like American Pie or movies with strong sexual content..

I'm an adult but I don't have any kids. When I was a kid I pretty much watched what I wanted though.
