i've been in the carpenters union for a while now and want to stay apart of it. work is scarse in michigan because of scabs. i want to move to another state where the economy is better but i can't find the info i need on other carpenter unions i.e. pay scale, benefits.

Contact an international union rep.... http://www.carpenters.org/ I am sure they can give you an updated list of local unions.

Check out www.carpenters.org. What local are you with? I work at the fund office. You'll also want to make sure the state that you go to has reciprocity with Michigan for your pension and/or health care benefits.

Do a little research and you will see what kind of labour shortage there is in Canada and it is going to continue for a long time.
