I live in hot humid weather and I have to walk outside to my classes plus I have gym third period. Any suggestions on how to keep my foundation from running?

Thnx!

use a foundation primer and makeup fixative. The primer will stop your skin from producing more oil and making the make up slide and the fixative will keep it in place

I started using a fixative spray when I was dancing professionally. Helped my makeup withstand melting under the hot stage lights, running when i would sweat or coming off on my costumes when I would ahve to change.

Primers
Smashbox primer
MAC prep n prime
Monistat anti chafing gel (dont laugh, same exact ingredients as the smash box stuff for 1/4 the price)

Makeup Fixatives
Ben Nye Final Seal (my fav)
Mehron Barrier Spray

on a side note, it it really bad for your skin to work out in makeup. Consider washing it off before gym, or waiting to apply it after. This is one of the reasons I always made gym 1st period lol. Hope this helps

Start with a primer. I know it sounds tacky, but they help your makeup stay put. Then use an oil free foundation. Then get some blotting papers. They absorb oil and moisture on one side with a light powder on the other. They come in easy to carry small booklets so you could easily keep some in your backpack or locker for touch-ups.
Check your local drug store or wherever you buy your cosmetics. If you can't find a primer or the blotting papers, try on line.

i have had actual good success with Mary Kay foundation. It has medium coverage so it would not look such as you painted stuff on your face yet provides a useful sparkling coverage. it is going to very last an finished paintings day yet i don't recognize of any makeup which will very last the completed day and into the nighttime. also, if that's rubbing off then you definitely must be touching your face plenty and that is not good on your skin. Your hands have airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud and oils on them and once you contact your face you're depositing that airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud onto your face the position the pores turns into clogged with oil and airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud and turn into pimples. I choose you nicely in looking something you want.

You could use a makeup primer before applying your foundation. Even a makeup primer probably won't help your makeup survive an aerobic workout, though. You might be better off switching to a tinted moisturizer.

Sephora has a huge selection of primers, if you want to go that route: http://www.sephora.com/browse/section.jhtml?categoryId=S10853

There's also this product, but having never tried it, I can't say for sure that it would work. It might also make you feel like you've got shellac on your face: http://www.modelinabottle.com/

Try a tinted moisturizer, it's better than foundation in the summer because it absorbs a bit more into your skin than foundation and doesn't run, but still gives you some coverage. Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Enhancer is a very well-formulated one.

I'm not sure how to keep it from running, but I do know Mary Kay has this stuff called Oil Mattifier that works pretty good to keep shine away in between classes.
I'd get some facial clothes and use them after gym to redo your makeup. I've found that applying powder after you've been all sweaty usually makes it look cakey (sp?)....not cute... : )

Try Revlon Colorstay Foundation (inexpensive) or Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation (Expensive).

Carry oil-blotting sheets in your backpack.

use bare naturale powder foundation from 'oreale. i use it and it works great. it's also easy to bring with you so you can re-apply after gym class. this powder works just as well as creme foundation without clogging your pores. you can get this at any drugstore. they have examples of skin shades in the stores and different styles, like lightening your skin, bronzing it, adding color, etc. i hope this works for you! =)

i had the same problem last year, pe third period too! haha, just take a few minutes to touch everything up before fourth period. if possible, take some face wipes and completely reapply, that's what i did when it got really hot.

hope all is going well, take care!
